IMMOBILE PASSENGERS

Immobile passengers may have their wheelchairs with them until they board the plane, where they are moved into a lifting chair, transported onto the plane and placed to their place. The wheelchair is transported in a luggage area.

In case the passenger travels with an electric wheelchair this fact must be notified to the airport in advance (through the travel agency, or personally). The passenger is taken away its electric wheelchair during the check-in process, when it is necessary to disconnect the batteries and prepare the wheelchair for transport. A mechanical wheelchair is provided to an immobile passenger during the check-in process which is available for him / her up to the moment of boarding onto the plane.

In case of transport of immobile passengers the representative of an air company must be informed in advance (at least 48 hours) or the travel agency who shall provide for the required service together with the airport.
